C’est la mort de Shawn Smith survenu le 3 avril 2019 qui avait interrompu l’enregistrement du nouvel album de Brad, Side project de Stone Gossard de Pearl Jam.
Album qui devrait peut être voir le jour bientôt !
Stone Gossard avait évoqué le sujet lors d’une interview pour Kerrang! en juillet 2021:
There’s Brad songs, for sure, I think we have a record but Regan [Hagar, drums], Keith [Lowe, bass] and I have to go back in and make the right choices about presenting that record in a way that makes the most sense. There’s lots of Shawn solo stuff. There are some Shawn Smith songs that are beautiful that haven’t been heard yet. It’s going to take a little bit of time to get through that stuff and figure it out and make sure it’s right. So that’s the plan. There are songs; we’re going to put them out at some point. And I think it’s a record.
Et maintenant c’est Keith Lowe via un post FB (que je n’arrive pas à retrouver) – évoqué par le compte twitter Demetrios et un post Reddit – qui nous tease l’arrivée prochaine de ce dernier album posthume (et hommage ?) à Shawn Smith.
