Record Store Day et Disquaire Day

Cette année le Disquaire Day, c’est le samedi 12 avril.

Comme tous les ans on rappellera que le Disquaire Day n’est pas le Record Store Day. Bon, un peu quand même. Mais pour faire simple, le Disquaire Day a droit à des exclusivités françaises propres… et se voit privé de certaines sorties du Record Store Day, pour lesquelles il faudra impérativement vous tourner vers les disquaires qui pratiquent l’import. Si une de ces sorties vous intéresse, il est donc important de vous rapprocher de votre disquaire sans attendre.

Certaines sorties du Record Store Day initialement prévues pour le Record Store Day ont entre temps été annulées. Vous les trouverez dans la liste ci-dessous avec l’astucieuse mention « Sortie annulée ». Spoiler : si vous êtes fans de A Day To Remember, Megan Thee Stallion, Sam Fender ou The Hives, il va falloir importer.

A noter aussi qu’on est visiblement les seuls à ne pas utiliser l’appellation Record Store Day et que si vous nous lisez depuis d’autres pays que la France, vous serez probablement plus intéressés par les RSD USA, UK, Canada, Pays Bas, Italie, Allemagne, Pologne…

Les perles rares

Si on en croit le site du Record Store Day, il y a en tout 40 sorties limitées à moins de 1000 exemplaires et 42 limitées à tout pile 1000 exemplaires.

Parmi les plus limitées (200 exemplaires), on remarquera la version CD de l’album d’inédits spécial RSD 2025 de Black Stone Cherry, très justement nommé « This is Black Stone Cherry’s RSD album. The band really likes it. » L’album est aussi dispo en LP, limité à 750 exemplaires.

On trouvera ensuite « The Jamaican Episode » de Snoop Dogg (CD, 750) le « Live at The Miles Davis Hall – Montreux 1995 » d’Ice T (CD, 750), « Lemonheads in Dreamland » de The Leonheads (LP, 800)…

Attention pour les fans d’Oasis collectionneurs, le quadruple LP « Time Flies…1994 – 2009 », qui comme son nom l’indique, rassemble tous les singles du groupe de 1994 à 2009, est numéroté et limité à 1000 exemplaires.

La perle pas rare

Le LP qui sera probablement le plus recherché cette année, sera également le moins limité.

Avec 17 000 exemplaires, le « Post Malone Tribute to Nirvana » de Post Malone, dont on vous parlait déjà par là, est de loin le plus gros pressage du RSD 2025, 2 000 exemplaires au dessus des suivants.

La nouvelle est d’autant plus bonne que tous les bénéfices engendrés par les ventes du LP seront reversés à la division addiction et santé mentale de Musicares.

Pas de panique donc, mais ne trainez pas quand même.

 

Les formats rigolos

Le Disquaire Day, c’est l’occasion de jouer avec l’objet disque et de sortir des LP improbables. Pourtant cette année rien de très fou.

Des zoetropes pour Blur, Duran Duran, Fatboy Slim, George Harrison, et Supergrass.

Des picture discs pour Eurythmics, Mötley Crüe et Starship.

Un double LP à paillettes vertes et roses pour la B.O. de Wicked.

Au final, le disque qui remporte le prix du format le plus rigolo de l’année n’est pas sorti pour le Record Store Day, mais pour la Saint- Valentin. Il s’agit évidemment du « Heart EP » d’Arabrot, toujours dispo chez Pelagic Records.
