Généralement, en juillet, en dehors des festivals, c’est un peu mort niveau concerts. C’était sans compter sur la Cave Aux Poètes, à Roubai, qui se paie le petit privilège d’un Kevin Morby de fort bon aloi un jour où Kassav, Franck Michael et autres Forbans s’en donnent à cœur joie sur les places municipales. Oui, c’est bien ça, Kevin Morby sera en concert dans le Nord le 14 Juillet prochain. Tickets pour l’événement en source.
Le songwriter sera aussi en concert à Paris le 20 Juin au Cabaret Sauvage, mais pas uniquement !

Cadeau bonus, le clip « No Halo » sorti hier et tiré de son futur 5e album (un double au passage), « Oh My God », prévu le 26 Avril prochain.
Il s’agira d’un double album marqué par des questions divines comme le laisse entendre le titre.
“Religion is around all of us. It’s a universal language and there is profound beauty in it. I’ve found it a useful tool within songwriting, as it’s something everyone can relate to on some level. There are religious themes or imagery in a lot of what I’ve done, so I wanted to get all of that out and speak only that language for a whole record. It’s not a born-again thing; it’s more that ‘oh my god’ is such a profound statement we all use multiple times a day and means so many different things. It’s not about an actual god but a perceived one, and it’s an outsider’s view of the human experience in terms of religion.”
