Même si Lars voulait faire flipper les fans avec une « possible » sortie en 2017, certaines rumeurs laissaient entendre que le prochain album de Metallica allait sortir en Octobre. Finalement, « Hardwired… To Self Destruct » sortira mondialement le 18 Novembre et le groupe a balancé un titre et un clip avec « Hardwired » de son futur double album. Simple. Efficace.
